2025 was a transformative year behind the keyboard.ooh the high-energy momentum of seeing pieces go live in 𝘐𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘳 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥𝘴 𝘔𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘻𝘪𝘯𝘦, 𝘚𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘈𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘬𝘢 𝘔𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘻𝘪𝘯𝘦 and, my debut non-fiction piece finding it's forever home at 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘍𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. Between the quiet hours of drafting, and watching a short story convert to a TV show; I've been reflecting on what it means to be a working writer in today's shifting digital landscape. The recent awards and recognition in the Tell Her Story 𝘔𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘻𝘪𝘯𝘦 alongside other creative women in Africa were a humbling highlight. However, the real reward has been the dialogues sparked by the stories I write. I have perused blogs discussing themes, Book Riot for instance, categorised Mumbi's Rapture among the six Sci-Fi stories to read. Each of these commentaries have challenged the 'algorithim' of my creative process.

The internet says I am a dealer in words who blends raw emotion with cultural narratives, I write women stories focusing on African societal nuances and, explore themes of feminist resilience. Writing is rarely a solitary act; it’s a conversation. Whether you’ve followed my work for years or we are just connecting now, I’m thrilled to be back sharing these insights here and on my personal blog.
What’s Next?
• ∆ I’m currently focusing my energy on my novel: 𝘌𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘰𝘫𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘳. I look forward to sharing the progress over the coming months.
• ∆ Mumbi and the Second Coming is being illustrated as an animation. The experience is top notch wild.
