2025 was a transformative year behind the keyboard.ooh the high-energy momentum of seeing pieces go live in ๐๐ฏ๐ฏ๐ฆ๐ณ ๐๐ฐ๐ณ๐ญ๐ฅ๐ด ๐๐ข๐จ๐ข๐ป๐ช๐ฏ๐ฆ, ๐๐ช๐ด๐ช๐๐ง๐ณ๐ช๐ฌ๐ข ๐๐ข๐จ๐ข๐ป๐ช๐ฏ๐ฆ and, my debut non-fiction piece finding it's forever home at ๐๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ณ๐ฆ๐ด๐ฆ๐ณ๐ท๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ. Between the quiet hours of drafting, and watching a short story convert to a TV show; I've been reflecting on what it means to be a working writer in today's shifting digital landscape. The recent awards and recognition in the Tell Her Story ๐๐ข๐จ๐ข๐ป๐ช๐ฏ๐ฆ alongside other creative women in Africa were a humbling highlight. However, the real reward has been the dialogues sparked by the stories I write. I have perused blogs discussing themes, Book Riot for instance, categorised Mumbi's Rapture among the six Sci-Fi stories to read.
